4 Ways to Improve Your Curb Appeal This Spring

Now that spring has arrived and the weather is warming up, it’s time to get outside and give your home exterior some TLC. Here are four outdoor projects you can tackle to increase your curb appeal this spring:

1. Enhance Your Entrance

Complete some front porch upgrades and add a new stone or paver pathway to make your home more inviting. Add a pop of color with a brightly-colored front door and planters. Redecorate for spring with a new doormat and seasonal wreath. Add porch seating and adorn it with bright cushions. 2. Refresh Your Landscaping

Mow your front yard and remove any dead plants and tree branches. Plant colorful perennials and annuals for bright blooms through summer. Trim and shape bushes and hedges, and add fresh mulch to garden beds. Keep your front lawn looking fresh and vibrant with fertilizer and lawn seed.

3. Clean Your Siding & Windows

Spring clean your home exterior and wash your siding and windows. Most siding can be hosed down and cleaned with mild detergent, a soft-bristled brush, and water. Check your siding for signs of damage in the process. Clean the inside and outside of your windows and ensure they are in good condition. Pay close attention to the frame, sash tracks, screens, and glass.

4. Upgrade Outdoor Lighting

Install new outdoor lighting to enhance security and style. If it’s an older style, upgrade your front porch light to match your exterior color palette and add string lights for ambiance. Illuminate your front path, driveway, steps, and decorative features. Consider a floodlight or sensor light to deter unwanted guests.
